Hi All,

Tomorrow is our January lunch meeting.

I will be at the Davie campus the whole day so I will not be able to help
with cooking etc.
We need to put on a good show as our meeting / BBQ was is mentioned on the
wow calendar.

Some things for the agenda:
- Budget for 09-10 for SG
  What do we need to do, what forms do we need to fill out, what meetings do
we need to go to and what do we ask for?

- Antenna work day 01-17-09
  As of now we have only 4 people sign up to help. We need more volunteers.

- FAU ARC picnic / mini FD.
  At the last meeting it was suggested to organize a picnic / mini FD in
February. It looks like BRARA liked the idea and the are planning one also.
We could join them or we can show our independence and organize our own.

- School Club Roundup
  Feb 9-13 is another edition of the SCR (www.arrl.org/SCR/). I certainly
had great fun operating in the event and was able to speak to many other
colleges and schools. I finally found the K4FAU cards and should be able to
answer the many QSLs from the October SCR. Most activity is after school but
there is also some activity during lunch. Because of the uniqueness of this
event you can experience a real contest pile-up when you start calling CQ
SCR!

- HamCation
  Feb 13, 14 and 15 will be the 2009 edition of the Orlando HamCation
(http://www.hamcation.com/) This hamfest is as close as you can get to the
Dayton experience without leaving the state! I plan on going Saturday the
14th and so are many other Boca area hams.
Maybe we can get a convoy together ;)

- Next meeting
  Our Feb meeting will be Feb 11th
