The Boynton Truck was already requisitioned by Ron Keister. You suggestion
to use this vehicle for GOTA will work fine.
The CW station will be dual duty - operating CW and PSK-31 using your FT-897
and my SignaLink-USB insterface.
Hank has been able to obtain enough sandwiches to cover the Saturday lunch.
I have the $100.00 that was donated for food and I will purchase meat
patties, condiments, soda, water, plates, napkins, buns, chips that we can
use for Saturday dinner and Sunday lunch. We will need coolers WITH ICE to
store the meat and keep the soda & water cool. Anyone, Anyone?
As I understand it, Ron, W2DO will be bringing his IC-756 to be the SSB
station.
John, KE4IDW will be bringing a rig and I will bring my FT-857 which can
make up the GOTA/VHF positions. There will be plenty 6M-VHF antennas
brought to the site to choose from.
Personally, I would like to see setup start sharply at 9am. It seems that we
are always pushing to make the 2:00 PM start time with little time to
spare. If we started a little earlier then we can be ready ahead of time
and not have to push to get everything finished at the last minute. But I
know that history has shown that setup never gets going till around 10. But
lets try this year to start earlier. 9am please?
If there is an interest in setting up a beam then we'll give it the old
college try. But we should also set up the Windom as a fall back if the
beam doesn't perform as expected.
Can someone please bring an End Fed sloper for GOTA please.(and feedline)
Anyone's comments are welcome,
Nelson Winter
