2004 FAU Wellness Triathlon
During the May 20, 2004 K4FAU meeting there was some discussion about this Triathlon. Please read the meeting minutes.
Thanks to all!
(from K9VV)
Many thanks to all who participated in the FAU Wellness Triathlon.
After seeing all of the hardbodies, I guess I should start digging the tower base holes and get in shape before the hot weather comes! hi hi.
I received the following message of thanks from Rosemary Dunbar, who is in charge of the event.
I guess some who looked like Uncle Dave / motorbike mobile created quite a controversy.
Note from Rosmary...
Dear Fred--I just wanted to say thank you for all the wonderful support. Everyone was great, as always. Please send me your address as I like to send a formal thank you. Also could you please tell me the name and contact info for the person who was on the motorcycle.
There was a major problem. The winner of the race has been accused of drafting the motorcycle which is cheating. I need to hear feedback from the motorcyclist and then determine if I had to disqualify the current winner. Again, thank you.
If you had fun doing this, please remember the March of Dimes walk-a-thon on Saturday morning April 17. Contact Hank
Thanks again & 73,
Fred & Lisa K9VV / KI4CCOh

This year the Triathlon will be held on Sunday, April 4th. Experience level is not important. (We will team you up with a "buddy" to ensure everyone is comfortable) A desire to contribute to the communications for a wonderful event IS very important.
To facilitate event planning coordination between interested amateurs, a Yahoo group "Plangroup" has been established. This is a reflector that will relay pertinent messages to all interested parties. You may also post your questions.
